"Hi, Yuka-san! I would like to buy a new uta-yo Shinobue. My budget is SGD 200. Could you advise me a good fue which I can buy within my budget? Thanks!" I have been asked this kind of question many times. As I mentioned in my post  " My Shinobue ", I am a Miyako (京師) user so I always push them to buy Miyako first. Currently, there is no appropriate translation for it on websites or books. I use this for playing Ohayashi (お囃子), Japanese festival music. It is most suitable for playing alongside Taiko (太鼓), Japanese drums as you can create very dynamic sounds with them.     Brand: Miyako (京師) Type: hogaku-cho (邦楽調)/uta-yo(唄用) Choshi: (from the top) 6-hon, 7-hon, 8-hon (六本調子、七本調子、八本調子) Miyako's hogaku-cho/uta-yo Shinobue is also tuned in  日本十二律 (Twelve-tone Japanes
